01 // Network & Access Protocols

CONNECTIVITY Is the Torzon Market down or am I blocked?

If you are experiencing timeouts or "502 Bad Gateway" errors when accessing a torzon url, it is highly likely due to a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack. This is a common occurrence in the darknet ecosystem, where competitors attempt to flood the torzon official site with junk traffic.

Diagnosis & Solution:

  1. Check your Tor Circuit: Click the padlock icon in the Tor Browser and select "New Circuit for this Site".
  2. Switch Mirrors: The main torzon onion link might be clogged. Navigate to our Mirrors Page and try a different signed URL.
  3. Disable JavaScript: Ensure your security settings are on "Safer". Some DDoS protections fail if JS is completely disabled ("Safest"), but "Safer" is the sweet spot.

Do not assume the market has exit scammed. Check community forums like Dread (`/d/Torzon`) for official status updates from the admin team.

SECURITY How do I verify if a Torzon link is legitimate?

Phishing is the #1 cause of account loss. Fake sites (clones) are designed to look exactly like the torzon official mirror, but they capture your username and password. The only mathematically secure way to verify a site is via PGP (Pretty Good Privacy).

Every valid torzon login page hosts a `security.txt` or `/verify` endpoint. This page contains a message signed with the Market Admin's private PGP key. You must:

  1. Import the Torzon Public Key into your keychain (Kleopatra or GPG4Win).
  2. Copy the signed message from the site.
  3. Run the "Decrypt/Verify" command.
CRITICAL: If the signature is "BAD" or the key ID does not match the known admin key, close the tab immediately. You are on a phishing site.
OPSEC Should I use a VPN with Tor?

Absolutely not. The Torzon darknet official guide strictly advises against using a VPN in combination with Tor (VPN-over-Tor or Tor-over-VPN). While it might seem like an extra layer of security, it actually introduces a static point of failure.

VPN providers are centralized entities that can see your real IP address and the fact that you are connecting to the Tor network. If a VPN provider is subpoenaed or hacked, your anonymity is compromised. Furthermore, using a VPN can create a permanent money trail if you paid for it with a credit card. Trust the Torzon onion routing protocol and Tails OS for true anonymity.

02 // Account & Auth Security

RECOVERY I lost my password. Can I reset it?

The Torzon marketplace is a non-custodial, anonymous platform. We do not collect email addresses or phone numbers. Therefore, there is no "Forgot Password" button that sends a reset link.

The ONLY way to recover a lost account is through the Mnemonic Seed (12-24 words) provided to you during registration. If you did not save this seed, or if you lost it, your account is mathematically inaccessible. Even the torzon support admins cannot restore access, as the encryption keys are derived from your credentials.

2FA Why is my 2FA code invalid?

If you enabled PGP 2FA on your torzon login and your decrypted code is being rejected, consider the following:

  • Time Drift: Ensure your system clock (in Tails OS) is synchronized. Tor requires accurate time.
  • Whitespace: When decrypting the PGP message, ensure you are not copying extra spaces at the end of the code.
  • Phishing: If you are on a phishing site, the site might be forwarding your 2FA code to the real site, but by the time you enter it, the session has timed out or the attacker has already used it. Always verify the domain PGP signature first.

03 // Wallet & Transactions

DEPOSIT My deposit hasn't arrived after 1 hour.

Delays in deposits on the torzon market darknet are usually due to blockchain congestion, not a market error. The system requires a set number of confirmations to prevent double-spend attacks:

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Requires 2 confirmations. If the network mempool is full, this can take 60+ minutes.
  • Monero (XMR): Requires 10 confirmations (~20 minutes). XMR is generally faster and more reliable.

If 24 hours have passed and the transaction is confirmed on the block explorer but not in your torzon official wallet, open a support ticket. Include your TxID (Transaction ID) and a blank deposit address from your account for verification.

PRIVACY Why is Monero (XMR) mandatory for some vendors?

Bitcoin is not anonymous; it is pseudonymous. Every transaction is recorded on a public ledger. Specialized firms (Chainalysis) can trace Bitcoin from a regulated exchange to a torzon link wallet, de-anonymizing the user.

Monero uses Ring Signatures and Stealth Addresses to completely obfuscate the sender, receiver, and amount. Many top-tier vendors on the Torzon marketplace now refuse Bitcoin to protect themselves and their customers. We strongly recommend swapping BTC for XMR before depositing to ensure your OpSec remains intact.

04 // Orders, Escrow & Disputes

ESCROW How does the Escrow system protect me?

When you purchase an item on the torzon official site, your money does not go directly to the vendor. It goes into a Multi-Signature Escrow wallet controlled by the market smart contract.

The vendor is notified to ship the order. Once you receive the package and verify its contents, you click "Finalize". Only then are the funds released to the vendor. If you do not Finalize, the funds remain locked. This prevents "exit scams" where vendors take money and disappear.

DISPUTE What happens if the vendor sends a fake product?

If an item is missing, damaged, or incorrect, DO NOT Finalize the order. Instead, click the "Dispute" button. This freezes the funds in the Escrow wallet and alerts a torzon market moderator.

The moderator will review the chat logs and any evidence provided (photos, PGP signed messages). It is crucial that you communicate with the vendor ONLY via the market's internal encryption system. Logs from Telegram or Jabber are not accepted as evidence. If the vendor is found at fault, the funds are refunded to your wallet.

FE What is "Finalize Early" (FE) and is it safe?

Finalize Early (FE) means you release the funds to the vendor before the item is shipped. This removes the protection of Escrow.

WARNING: FE is extremely high risk. Only use FE with vendors who have a long-standing reputation (Level 5+ trust) and thousands of positive reviews. Never use FE with a new vendor. If you FE and the vendor scams you, the torzon support team cannot recover your funds.
